About the Project

We’re improving the footpath and roadside drains on Poland Road between Hillside Road and the Mitre 10 driveway, as part of our regular Summer Road Reno renewals programme.

This will make the road safer, stronger, and better prepared for bad weather.

  • Temporary changes –3 stages, 2 phases (weather dependant).
  • The first phase is to prepare the road (drains, roadside edge, and footpaths) with the second phase being the road rebuild and resurfacing to make it stronger and longer-lasting.
  • This 5 -week upgrade is the first phase over 2 stages to deliver this project as quickly as possible and will take place mostly in the evening.

Phase 2 and final stage will be carried out 24/7 over two separate weekends in late October 2025. We will confirm details closer to the date and before any work starts.

The Summer Road Reno renewals programme is part of our ongoing investment to maintain and improve Auckland’s transport network, making roads safer, more reliable, and helping to keep Auckland moving.
By upgrading and maintaining roads across the region, we’re making them safer, more reliable, and ready to support our growing city
