About this project

Earlier this year, we introduced a new bus service in your area, the 379. This service supports growing communities by connecting Clarks Beach with Waiau Pā, Kingseat, Te Hihi, Karaka and Papakura Station.

To make it easier to catch the 379 bus from Stevenson Road, we’re proposing a new bus stop.

We’re also proposing upgrades for people walking near the popular Ngahere Ki Uta Clarks Beach Recreation Reserve.

What we're proposing

• A new bus stop outside 71 Stevenson Road.
• Minor footpath upgrades and pedestrian refuge crossings outside 67 and 77 Stevenson Road to help people cross the road when walking to the reserve or bus stop. These walking improvements were requested by the Franklin Local Board and Auckland Council.
• New red SLOW markings to let drivers know people may be crossing ahead.
• Broken yellow lines (no parking at all times) to ensure visibility for drivers and people crossing the road. This will remove 16 on-street parking spaces.

• make it safer to walk and cross between the popular Clarks Beach Reserve and new bus stop.
