Improving bus services in West Auckland

In June 2026 we're making changes to bus services in Glen Eden, Titirangi and Avondale to provide people with better bus connections to jobs, education, train stations, medical centres, friends and shopping centres.

With more buses in more locations more people will be able to get to more places more often.

These new bus services need new bus stops and changes to existing ones on Glengarry Rd, Glendale Rd, Sunvue Rd, Pisces Rd, Rosier Rd, Solar Rd and West Coast Rd. This webpage will give you more information about these new bus stops and give you the chance to give your feedback on them. Use the survey at the bottom of the page to give us your feedback.

Feedback on these proposals is open until 4pm, 7 December 2025.

These changes are funded by Auckland Council’s Climate Action Transport Targeted Rate (CATTR).

Why we’re making these changes

Whether people choose to drive, walk, cycle, bus, train or ferry their way around the region, Auckland Transport supports viable options that make journeys quicker, easier and safer.

This will enable what matters most to Aucklanders: a convenient, well-connected, accessible and reliable transport system.

Transport choices will meet the varying needs of Aucklanders so they can live their lives and enjoy our region now and into the future as we continue to grow.

Achieving the vision will require great public transport, an efficient and sustainable transport network and safe and seamless journeys for everyone.

The changes we’re proposing

A new bus route 15 replaces most of Route 154 but runs more often and no longer travels on Solar Rd, Pisces Rd or Sunvue Rd.

  • Runs every 15 minutes 7am-7pm and 30 mins at other times, 7 days.
  • Weekdays: 4.30am-11.30pm, Saturday: 5am-11.30pm, Sunday:5.30am-11.30pm.

Existing bus route 152 runs more often and has a small route change as it travels on Pisces Rd, Solar Rd, Sunvue Rd and no longer travels on a section of Glengarry Road.

  • Runs every 15 minutes at peak times on weekdays and 30 mins at other times.
  • Weekdays: 5.20am-11pm, Saturday & Sunday: 6.15am-11pm.
