Surrey Crescent Old Mill Road improvements

We’re pleased to let you know that the safety, cycleway and footpath improvements along Surrey Crescent and Old Mill Road were completed in March this year.

What we did:

Dedicated cycle lanes on the road and berm.

• A shared walking and cycling path.
• Improved and additional pedestrian crossings along Surrey Crescent.
• A raised pedestrian crossing at the Grey Lynn School entrance.
• Road narrowing outside Grey Lynn School, encouraging slower speeds in the busy school zone.
• A new road surface throughout, creating a smoother and safer travel experience.
• Short-stay parking outside Grey Lynn School during school hours.

These changes make Surrey Crescent and Old Mill Road safer and more pleasant for everyone, whether you’re walking, cycling, dropping kids at school, or just driving through.
