Making intersections safer along Pulham Road and Alnwick Street

About the project

We’re making changes to eight intersections on Pulham Road and Alnwick Street in Warkworth.

“No stopping at all times” markings (broken yellow lines) will improve visibility by preventing parked vehicles from blocking drivers’ sightlines at intersections. Stop signs will also be installed at three intersections that do not currently have them, to ensure drivers come to a complete stop and check for other vehicles before proceeding.

• Pulham Road intersections: Alnwick Street, John Andrew Drive, Southgate Road, Blue Gum Drive, Lilburn Street and Bertram Street
• Alnwick Street intersections: Bertram Street and Lilburn Street

Benefits to your community

• Reduces the risk of collisions by keeping the bend clear of parked vehicles.
• Improves visibility and space for drivers navigating the intersection.
• Enhances safety for all road users, including people walking and cycling.
• New road markings and signs clarify right of way, improves safety for road users at this intersection.

• We are looking at installing these changes in September 2026.
• We will contact residents and businesses before any work begins. Painting the road markings will take one day in good weather conditions.
• Any updates to the plan will be posted on our website.
