Overview
We plan to make changes to Norrie Avenue to improve safety and vehicle access, in response to concerns raised by the public about vehicles parking at the end of the road.
We’ve heard that when cars parked too close to the end of the road, it becomes difficult for vehicles, especially larger ones like waste collection trucks and emergency services, to turn around safely.
To address this issue, we are installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) at the end of the road.
The changes we’re planning to:
Paint no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) outside between 22 and 24 Norrie Avenue, at the end of the road.
Community benefits and impacts
Make it easier for all vehicles especially waste collection trucks and emergency vehicles to move around the street without any difficulties.
Ensure vehicles can turn in and out of the cul-de-sac safely.
Clear access and re-allocate road space by removing two on-street parking spaces.
