Project Overview

We are proposing parking changes on Lloyd Avenue between New North Road and Allendale Road, to improve road safety, access and visibility.

This proposal responds to community concerns and aims to improve visibility on the rise while ensuring the minimal loss of parking.

What we are proposing

The change in this proposal includes:

  • Install broken yellow lines (no stopping) on one section of the road between 36-40 Lloyd Avenue
  • Remove 5 carparking spaces

Please view the proposed changes below.

Why we're doing this

This proposal responds to community concerns about road safety, access and visibility. The road is approximately 7.2 metres wide, but vehicles parked on both sides often reduce it to one single lane.

And a rise in the road between 36-40 Lloyd Avenue makes it difficult for drivers to see oncoming traffic, increasing safety risks.

The proposed changes would:

  • Increase space for vehicles to move safely
  • Make it easier for drivers to pass through the road
  • Reduce the risk of crashes particularly on the rise section of the road
  • Improve overall safety
