About the project

Auckland Transport received safety concerns from residents regarding visibility issues at the intersection due to parked vehicles blocking views.

The changes we’re making

We are painting broken yellow lines

  • 10 metres on all four sides of Kiwi Road and Tui Street intersection
  • This will result in a loss of 1 parking space. We understand that removing parking can be inconvenient, so we have minimised the removal while maintaining good lines of sight and access.

The drawing shows where we’ll be working.

Benefits to your community:

These changes will improve visibility at the intersection

Auckland Transport would like to work with you to deliver safer roads in your neighbourhood. These changes aim to enhance visibility for residents and visitors approaching the intersection.

What happens next

We plan to complete these works by the end of this financial year.

It will take one day to paint the broken yellow lines in good weather conditions.

Any change to the plan will be updated on this page.

We will be in touch with the local residents and businesses prior to any construction taking place.
