About the project
We're responding to requests from local residents to improve safety outside 65 High Road, Glenfield.
Local residents have told us that it’s currently confusing for drivers, so we’ll be changing this section of road to a Give Way intersection. This will help reduce the risk of collisions and make it safer for everyone.
The changes we're making by August 2025
- Removing the current "through arrow" road markings outside 65 High Road.
- Painting new "Give Way symbols" on the road surface outside 65 High Road.
- Installing Give Way signs outside 65 High Road.

What happens next
- Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.
- We will be in touch with local residents and businesses prior to any work taking place.
- It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions.
- We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
- Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parking illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
