Golf Road and Fern Avenue intersection, Epsom - No Stopping At All Times (broken yellow lines)

About the project

We’re proposing changes to the intersection at Golf Road and Fern Avenue to improve access and visibility.

We’ve received requests from the community about access issues on Fern Avenue. Vehicles parked within the intersection are blocking visibility and making it difficult for traffic to turn and exit the side road. Over the past six months, this intersection has received a high number of parking enforcement requests.

To address this issue, we propose installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) near the intersection.

• Paint no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) on both corners of the intersection at Golf Road and Fern Avenue.

Benefits and impacts

• Prevent illegal parking at the intersection.
• Improve visibility for both drivers and pedestrians and enhance the safety of the intersection.
• Make it easier for vehicles to access Fern Avenue.
• Clear access and re-allocate road space by removing two on-street parking spaces.
