About the project:

We previously shared an initial design and received feedback from the community.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. Based on your input, we’ve made changes to the design.

The updated drawing (attached) shows where we’ll be working.

To improve safety near the Bute Road and Glen Road T-intersection we are making these changes.

The changes we’re making in the first half of 2026:

  • Build a new concrete footpath near the Bute Road / Glen Road T-intersection.

  • Install a new pedestrian crossing island on Glen Road to support safer crossing.

  • Paint ‘no stopping at all times’ (broken yellow lines) around the intersection and the crossing island to keep sightlines clear and improve safety.

  • Remove one on-street parking space near the intersection to accommodate the crossing island and maintain clear sightlines.

Benefits to Your Community:

  • Safer crossings for pedestrians.

  • Improved visibility for drivers and people walking and cycling.

  • Better walking connections to local amenities.

What Happens Next

  • Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.

  • It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions.

  • We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.

  • Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
