About the project
We’re responding to concerns raised by business nearby about improving accessibility along Bolderwood Place in Wiri. Cars and heavy vehicles often park too close to, or directly opposite, the business driveway. This makes it difficult for trucks and other drivers to safely enter, exit, and navigate along the road.
To improve accessibility and make the road safer for everyone, we’re introducing new parking restrictions near the business driveway. These restrictions are intended to prevent unsafe parking and remind drivers that this part of the road is used by large vehicles.
The changes we're making
Introduce “No stopping at all times” restrictions (broken yellow lines) on both sides of the driveways at 5 Bolderwood Place, and on the road opposite at 8 Bolderwood Place. To clear access, we need to reallocate road space and remove approximately 12 parking spaces.
Benefits to your community
- Clear access for heavy and large vehicles to enter and exit the driveway.
- Greater driver awareness – Prevent unsafe parking reminding drivers about the operational movement in the area.
What happens next
We will install these changes in June/July 2026, any change to the plan will be updated on this page.
It will take one day for the installation of the new markings in good weather conditions. We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
Please remember to park courteously and look for parking restriction. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
