We’ve received requests from residents to improve visibility and address safety concerns of cars parking too close to the pedestrian crossing at the driveway of 116 Valley Road in Mount Eden.
When cars are parked too close to a pedestrian crossing, this makes it difficult for both pedestrians and drivers to see oncoming vehicles or people walking near the crossing.
Painting broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) next to the driveway of 116 Valley Road.

Ensures ease of access to the pedestrian crossing.
Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, and people walking and crossing the road.
Removes two on-street parking spaces.
