About the project

Buses are returning to Albert Street in November 2025. This means that the current temporary parking on Albert Street will revert back to bus lanes. We know that tour buses often use these temporary parking spaces along Albert Street to stop and unload passengers. We want to make sure these buses continue to have somewhere to park nearby when AT buses return to Albert Street.

What's changing?

We’re introducing P30 bus parking at the eastern end of Wolfe Street for tour buses to use. To accommodate these changes, we will be reconfiguring some of the parking along Wolfe Street:

  • Introduce 3 new P30 bus parking spaces on one side of Wolfe Street from 12-6pm
  • Two of these bus spaces will revert to paid parking outside of these hours
  • The remaining space will revert to P5 loading outside of these hours
  • Move the mobility park to the other side of Wolfe Street

What are the benefits of this change?

We need to keep Albert Street moving when buses return in November 2025. By adding dedicated parking spaces for tour buses on Wolfe Street, tour buses will have more time to offload passengers than if they stopped at Albert Street bus stops. This means that tour buses won't impact ordinary bus traffic along Albert Street.

What happens next?

We will install these changes in November 2025.

Any change to the plan will be updated on this page.

We will be in touch with local businesses prior to any construction taking place.
