Victoria Avenue, Remuera - Convert Taxi Stand to P120 time restrictions

About the project

We’re proposing changes to improve parking on Victoria Avenue, Remuera.

A request came from a member of the community to convert the existing taxi stand on Victoria Avenue.

Currently, the taxi stand between 7 and 11 Victoria Avenue is underused. Changing it to general parking will better serve the community.

What we are proposing

• Change the taxi stand between 7 and 11 Victoria Avenue to general parking with P120 parking time restrictions, from Monday to Sunday, 8am and 6pm.
• After 6pm, the spaces will become unrestricted parking until 8am.
• This change will create two P120 parking spaces during the day.

Benefits and impacts

• Increase parking availability for the wider community.
• Make it easier for people to find a place to park when they visit local shops or residents.
• Allow more people to enjoy the area and support local businesses in the community.
• Outside of the time restriction, people can park for longer periods.
