About the project

We are planning changes to make getting around your neighbourhood smoothly and safely.

This project, funded by the Upper Harbour Local Board Transport Capital Fund, aims to enhance the experience for people walking and cycling to nearby parks, reserves and other local amenities.

The changes we're making

  • Install directional signs in identified Upper Harbour locations. These signs will be designed to help people find their way to key locations within the community
  • Trim overgrown trees along identified walkways to clear access and ensure safety for people walking and cycling

Benefits to your community

  • Easier and safer navigation for residents and visitors
  • Provides more awareness to local street connections and important community locations
  • Encourages local communities to engage in more active travel modes

What happens next

We will install these changes around June or July 2025.

Any change to the plan will be updated on this page.

We will be in touch with local residents and businesses prior to any construction taking place.

How to contact us

If you’d like to speak to someone about our plans, please email us at ATengagement@at.govt.nz by 27 June 2025.
