We’re pleased to let you know that the Stamford Park Road, Melrose Road & Rainford Street Intersection Safety Improvement was completed in late 2024. 

Thanks so much for your patience while we carried out this work. 

The work we did

This project aimed to improve safety at the intersection for all road users. 

Some of the key improvements included:

• Installation of two speed humps on Stamford Park Road at the intersection with Melrose Road and Rainford Street
• Installation of refuge islands on Melrose Road
• Installation of a refuge island on Rainford Road
• An upgrading of pram crossings with tactile pavers
