Improving road safety & visibility on your street

We received a request to improve visibility and safety issues near 27 Speedy Crescent in Hillcrest.

Vehicles are parking at the entrance to the narrow section of the road leading to multiple driveways and a public walkway. This is creating visibility issues for residents to safely move their vehicles in and out of their driveway on this section Speedy Crescent.

The changes we’re making by March 2025.

  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) outside 27 Speedy Crescent.

A drawing on the next page shows where the broken yellow lines will be installed.

Benefits to your community

  • Improved access to properties and public walkway.
  • Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, people walking, cycling and crossing the road, making it safer for the community.

In good weather conditions, it will take one day to paint the broken yellow lines. We know this may cause an inconvenience, and we’ve tried to minimise this as much as possible.

We remind all drivers to park correctly and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
