About the project
In response to ongoing requests from the community, we are planning road improvements to sections of Second View Avenue between Cherrie Road and Sunkist Bay Road.
What we’re planning to do before June 2026
Install new kerb and channel (including a stormwater network) on the southern side of Second View Avenue, between Cherrie Road and Sunkist Bay Road.
Clearer road edges and improved safety
New kerbs define the road boundary, discouraging drivers from using the grass berm and improving separation between vehicles and pedestrians.
Improved stormwater drainage
Kerb and channel guide rainwater into the underground drainage system, reducing puddling, flooding, and damage to the road surface.
Better long term road condition
Protecting road edges and managing stormwater helps reduce wear and tear and lowers the need for ongoing repairs.
