About the project

We’ve received requests from the community to improve visibility and safety at the intersection of Te Atatū Road and Enderby Drive.

Parked vehicles along Te Atatū Road, near #644 opposite the intersection, obstructs through traffic when the right turn bay is occupied. Additionally, vehicles parked close to the intersection obstruct visibility for vehicles exiting Enderby Drive.

This presents a danger to drivers and other road users and makes it difficult for drivers to see oncoming cars, cyclists and people crossing the road.

The changes we're making by November 2025

  • Paint “No Stopping At All Times” (broken yellow lines) at the entry and exit points of Te Atatū Road and Enderby Drive intersection and opposite the intersection, outside 644 Te Atatū Road, adjacent to the intersection

Drawing is located on the right hand side of this webpage, to show where the changes will be installed.

Benefits to your community

  • Helps drivers see clearly at this intersection
  • Makes it safer for tamariki and others walking, cycling or crossing the road
  • Keeps access clear for rubbish trucks, emergency vehicles, and all other traffic
  • Supports smoother, safer traffic flow along Te Atatū Road

It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions. We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible.

We remind all drivers to park correctly and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.

What happens next

We are planning to install these changes in November 2025.

Any change to the plan will be updated on this page.
