Intersection safety improvements, Mangawhai Rd and Waiteitei Rd, Te Arai

We are proposing an intersection speed zone here to reduce turning crashes and make any crash that does happen less severe. This targeted, cost-effective safety improvement uses variable speed limit signs and sensors to detect a vehicle waiting to turn then temporarily lowers the speed limit to 60km/h on Mangawhai Road, before returning to 100km/h once the turn is made.
