After carefully considering all feedback received, we have decided to proceed with the proposed changes as planned.
What happens next?
Pending approvals, we plan to make these changes by December 2026. The work is expected to take one day to complete, weather permitting.
What we are doing
We’re improving access in Rakich Place in Henderson. Site observations and feedback from nearby businesses show that large vehicles, particularly heavy trucks, have difficulty manoeuvring near the end of the street and accessing industrial properties safely.
What we are proposing
We propose marking four existing angle parking spaces and install no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) outside 9 and12 Rankich Place.
How this works
These changes will make it easier for large vehicles to access the industrial properties. Download a drawing showing the proposed changes can be found here.
Why we doing this
We’ve received requests from the local businesses to improve access along Rakich Place in Henderson.
This project is part of Auckland Transport's Minor Works Programme, a community-led initiative that supports practical improvements based on ideas and requests from local communities.
