Safety improvements at the Dairy Flat Highway, Postman Road, Blackbridge Road intersection

We're proposing to make some improvements to the Dairy Flat Highway, Postman Road and Blackbridge Road intersection to improve safety for all road users.

What we are doing

Proposed improvements are set below, and include to:

• Install a new southbound right-turn bay on Dairy Flat Highway for drivers to turn into Blackbridge Road.
• Install Active Warning Signs (AWS) to encourage safe and appropriate speeds for approaching drivers to the intersection.
• Improve the existing bus stops with road markings and signage.

Why are we doing this

Within the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, a total of six crashes were reported within a 50-metre radius of the intersection. This included two serious, two minor and two non-injury crashes

These improvements will help improve visibility, support safer turning movements, and increase driver awareness of the intersection.
