Good News!
New bicycle parking coming soon to Huia Rd Carpark - Pt Chevalier and Phyllis Park Reserve.
Auckland Transport on behalf of the Albert Eden Local Board, are adding more bike parking in the community.
The new upgrades will make biking easier and safer for everyone, whether they're going to the shops, work, school, or visiting friends and family. These improvements aim to enhance the cycling infrastructure and promote safe alternative ways to move around the city.
They chose these locations because of their close proximity to parks, facilities, supermarkets, and public transport, and it's good visibility for cyclists and the public.
By August 2025, there will be a new bike shelter with eight bicycle parks within the Huia Rd carpark and Phillis Reserve
Benefits to your community
• Provide dedicated spaces for people to park their bikes
• Enhanced security
• All-season shelter from the elements
• These changes support a healthier, cheaper, and more sustainable
way to move around.
• Improving the cycling experience around Auckland city
