Consultation has concluded
About the project
The community has highlighted the need to improve the operation of the intersection at #68 Woodcocks Road, Warkworth which provides access to local businesses, including Mitre 10 Mega, Noel Leeming, The Warehouse, etc.
Cars parked between the driveways of properties #79 and #83 Woodcocks Road obstruct through traffic when the right turn bay is occupied. This increases delays for drivers on this section of Woodcocks Road.
The changes we're making by September 2025
We plan to install "no stopping at all times" restrictions (broken yellow lines) between the driveways #79 and #83 Woodcocks Road.
A drawing on the next page shows where the broken yellow lines will be installed.
Benefits to your community
Reduced congestion and delays on Woodcocks Road.
Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming vehicles as well as people walking, cycling and crossing the road.
Ensure ease and safety to access for all vehicles into and out of Woodcocks Road including large service vehicles.
It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions. We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
Please mention Woodcocks Road, in the subject line.
