Local Board parking in Glenmall Place in Glen Eden.
Auckland Transport is proposing to formalise six Local Board parking spaces at 41 Glenmall Place, Glen Eden, reserving them for authorised vehicles Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and making them available for public use for up to 120 minutes outside those hours.
What we are doing
From November 2026, we plan to:
Install new signs which will clearly show when the restriction applies, helping everyone understand when the spaces are reserved and when they can be used by the public.
Authorised vehicles would be identified by permits issued and managed by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board office.
Why we are doing this
Six parking spaces in Glenmall Place have been used for many years by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board office and its visitors.
The spaces are currently marked with yellow hatching and signs that say they are for the Local Board Chair and visitors only, at all times.
However, these parking spaces are not currently covered by a formal parking resolution and need to be formalised.
As the Local Board office is not open at all times, we are proposing to reserve these six spaces for authorised vehicles from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Outside these hours, anyone could use the spaces for up to 120 minutes.
This would allow the restriction to be legally enforced while also making the spaces available to the public outside the restricted times.
