About this Project

Before and after school, Lingfield Street can be very busy with families driving, walking, scootering or cycling to and from Marlborough Primary School.

We’ve been asked by the school and others in the community to improve the crossing facilities at the existing KEA crossing, operated by the school patrol team.

To make it safer we plan to widen the existing KEA crossing and turn it into a zebra crossing. We will also install no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) near the crossing. This will mean vehicles can’t park close to the crossing and this makes it easier for drivers to see people waiting to cross.

We plan to make these changes in 2026.

A drawing showing the changes can be found here.
