Developing Katoa, Ka Ora - Key Engagements

During February and March 2022 the Safe Speed Team held workshops with all 21 Auckland Region Local Boards. We listened to their views on speed management and they gave formal feedback via a Resolution. You can read the resolutions from each board in the documents section.

A series of four workshops was held with key stakeholders, technical experts and interested members of the community. Key outcomes included a set of 9 principles to be used as a guideline for the setting of safe speed limits accross the Auckland Region.

A second round of workshops with Key Stakeholders, technical people, local board representatives and interested members of the community. This work resulted in shifting the focus of the draft speed management plan to safety around schools.

During February and March 2023 the Safe Speed Team held a second round of workshops with all 21 Auckland local boards. An update of plan progress was presented, and we invited their views on progress so far. All local boards gave formal feedback via a Resolution. Until 28 August 2023, all Aucklanders are invited to give their views on proposed safe speed limits around schools.
