Kitchener Rd Footpath

We’re pleased to let you know that the Kitchener Road footpath upgrade was completed in late 2024. 

Thanks so much for your patience while we carried out this work. 

The work we did

This project aimed to improve safety and make it easier to walk and cycle along Kitchener Road. 

Some of the key improvements included:

• Construction of a new footpath along Kitchener Road from Brights Road to the section of existing footpath outside 89 Kitchener Road
• Installing a give way sign at the intersection of Brights Road and Kitchener Road
• Slope the footpath and install tactile pavers on either side of Brights Road.
• Moving the bus stop outside 82-84 Kitchener Road slightly further west and increase its length to 15m
