About the project
We have received several requests to improve access to Jaemont Avenue, in Te Atatu South by installing some parking restrictions, as vehicles often find it extremely difficult to travel, due to parked cars on both side of the avenue.
The changes we're making
We will be installing ‘no stopping/parking between the hours of 6.00am – 10.00am and 3.00pm -7.00pm – 7 days a week” restriction signage outside #4 and #8 Jaemont Avenue.
Benefits to your community
Ensures ease of access for all vehicles into and out of Jaemont Avenue.
New signage clarify right of way, improve safety by minimising risk of collisions, and ensures compliance with traffic regulations.
It will take one day to implement signage in good weather conditions. We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
What happens next
We will install these changes by the end of October 2024.
Any change to the plan will be updated on this page.
