About the project

We’re responding to requests from residents to improve visibility and safety on Rosier Road, Glen Eden.

Parked vehicles near the bend outside 106 Rosier Road are reducing visibility for people entering or exiting their driveways and for drivers travelling through this section of the road. This lack of visibility has contributed to previous crashes and continues to create safety risks for all road users.

To improve safety and make this part of Rosier Road easier and safer for everyone to use, we are proposing some changes.

The changes we're making by July 2026

  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) on the southern side between 102 and 108 Rosier Road. We need to clear access and improve visibility and reallocate road space by removing 8 parking spaces to make this changes.

Benefits to your community

  • Easier and safer for residents to access their homes.
  • Provide wider road space and reduce the risk of crashes involving parked vehicles.
  • Improve access for larger vehicles, such as buses, navigating the bend.
  • Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, people walking, cycling and crossing the road - making the street safer for everyone.

What happens next

  • Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.
  • It will take one day to paint the road marking in good weather conditions.
  • We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
  • Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.

How to contact us

If you’d like to discuss our plans, share what you know about your area or let us know if there’s anything we’ve missed, email us at ATEngagement@at.govt.nz by 18 February 2026.
