About the project

We’re responding to safety concerns for trucks turning near 156 Foundry Road, Silverdale.

Foundry Road is a busy road used by large truck and trailers serving local businesses. At the moment, parked vehicles near 156 Foundry Road make it difficult for trucks to exit safely and turn onto Foundry Lane. To fix this, we’re introducing changes that will keep the driveway clear and reduce the risk of potential collisions between trucks and parked vehicles.


The changes we're making by February 2026


  • Removing the white hockey stick road markings
  • Installation of no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) near 156 Foundry Road. To clear access and improve visibility we need to reallocate road space by removing one parking space.

Benefits to your community

  • Safer truck turns - Trucks can get in and out of driveways more safely without risk of hitting parked cars.

  • It will take one day to paint the road marking in good weather conditions.
