About the project
We are installing clearway restrictions on Ramp Road, Rosedale to address congestion and visibility issues raised by the community.
Parked vehicles in the area create delays and obstruct visibility of drivers especially during morning and afternoon peak hours, posing safety risks to all road users.
The changes we're making by August 2025
Installing no stopping or parking during certain times (clearways) signs, Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am
Extended the existing afternoon clearway restriction for another hour, Monday to Friday, 4pm to 7pm
We remind all drivers to park correctly and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
Benefits to your community
Improves safety and visibility for vehicles turning left or right into Sunset Road
Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cards, people walking, cycling and crossing the road, making it safer, particularly for tamariki (children).
Clears access and keeps the lane clear for traffic, particularly during peak hours in the morning and afternoons.
Still gives parking availability outside of the restrictions during weekdays and no strictions on weekends.
