About the project

We received a request from the community to improve visibility and address safety issues in Courthouse Lane, Orewa.

The changes we're making by October 2025

  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) outside 2 Courthouse Lane, Orewa.

Benefits to your community

  • Clears and ensures ease of access for all residents, emergency services and large vehicles such as rubbish trucks into and out of Courthouse Lane.
  • Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, people walking, cycling and crossing the road, making it safer for the community.

IIn good weather conditions, it will take one day to paint the broken yellow lines. We know this may cause an inconvenience, and we’ve tried to minimise this as much as possible.

We remind all drivers to park correctly and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.

What happens next

  • Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.
