About the project
We’ve received community requests to improve visibility and address safety issues outside #168 and #218 Rosebank Road in Avondale.
Cars parked outside property 218 block access for rubbish trucks and hold up traffic that often leads to unsafe driver behaviour. Outside property 168, a redundant driveway is constantly used as parking which blocks visibility for residents trying to exit and enter their driveways. Both instances present danger to drivers and other road users.
The changes we're making by October 2025
Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) outside #168 and #218 Rosebank Road.
Benefits to your community
Clears and ensures ease of access for all residents, emergency services and large vehicles such as rubbish trucks to improve traffic flow along Rosebank Road.
Improves visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, people walking, cycling and crossing the road, marking it safer for the community.
What happens next
Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.
It will take one day to paint the broken yellow lines in good weather conditions. We know this may cause an inconvenience, and we will minimise this as much as possible while balancing safety concerns.
Please remember to park courteously and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parking illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.
How to contact us
If you’d like to discuss our plans, share what you know about your area or let us know if there’s anything we’ve missed, email us at ATEngagement@at.govt.nz or leave us a comment on our websiteby 9 October 2025.
