About the project
We’re responding to a request to make some parking changes on Clyde Road, Browns Bay. We received a community request for mobility parking and a request for a loading zone from the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board with support from the Browns Bay Business Association.
Changing the parking space outside 86 Clyde Road to an accessible P120 parking space for mobility card holders and installing a mobility ramp will make parking easier for those who need it most.
Repurpose the parking area outside 85 Clyde Road to a P5 general loading zone to improve access for all drivers needing to load or unload on this section of the road.
The current parking restrictions on Clyde Road are P60 8am – 6pm Monday to Sunday.
The changes we're proposing
Updating the road markings and signage at 86 Clyde Road to indicate the mobility parking space.
Installing a mobility ramp outside 86 Clyde Road.
Updating the road markings and signage outside 85 Clyde Road to create P5 general loading zone.
Legalise the remaining P60 8am-6pm Monday to Sunday parking signage outside 89 to 93 Clyde Road to show the parking restrictions in this section of the road.
What happens next
We are providing an opportunity for the community to provide feedback until 14 July 2026.
Following community engagement, we will apply for a legal resolution to support these parking changes.
Following approval, we expect to implement the changes in September 2026.
Notification will be sent to the community before any works start.
