About the project

We received requests from the residents of Mossop Rise to improve access along the street.

Vehicles are parking on this narrow street blocking access on narrow sections of the street, leading to multiple driveways.

This is creating access issues for residents to safely move their vehicles on the street and in and out of their driveway.

The changes we're making by October 2025

  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) on one side of Mossop Rise.
  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) for both sides of the intersection of Hogans Road and Mossop Rise
  • Formalise the angle parking in the central island located in front of #4 Mossop Rise

Benefits to your community

  • Improves access to properties and public walkways
  • Improves access and visibility for drivers to see oncoming cars, people walking, cycling and crossing the road, making it safer for the community
  • Improves access for all vehicles including emergency vehicles
  • Creating formal parking opportunities on the street where possible
  • The pram crossing will be clear of vehicles and provide visibility for turning traffic

In good weather conditions, it will take one day to paint the broken yellow lines. We know this may cause an inconvenience, and we’ve tried to minimise this as much as possible.

We remind all drivers to park correctly and avoid blocking driveways. Vehicles parked illegally may receive infringement notices or be towed away.

What happens next

  • Any change to the plan will be updated on our website.
