Project Overview

We're proposing changes to improve road access and safety on Camwell Close, Bucklands Beach.

We've received concerns from residents about parking along this narrow road. When vehicles park on both sides, access can become restricted and it may be difficult for vehicles to enter, exit and turn around safely. This can create challenges for residents and visitors, as well as emergency and service vehicles that need to access the area.

What we’re proposing

  • Install broken yellow lines (No Stopping At All Times) on one side of Camwell Close in a staggered layout.

These changes will formalise parking on one side of the road, improving access for all road users.

The proposal will not remove any legal parking spaces. The road is too narrow to safely accommodate parking on both sides, so the changes will help clarify where parking is appropriate while maintaining existing legal on-street parking.

You can view the proposed changes in the attached drawing.

Benefits for your neighbourhood

These changes would:

  • Improve access for residents, visitors, emergency services and service vehicles.
  • Make it easier for vehicles to move through the street safely.
  • Improve visibility along the narrow sections of the road.
  • Reduce congestion caused by vehicles parking on both sides of the street.
