About the project

We’re responding to requests from the community to improve access on Brixton Road, Manly.

Brixton Road is a narrow road. When cars park on both sides of the road, it makes it hard for residents, emergency services and rubbish trucks to get through.

To keep the access clear and make sure everyone can safely get in and out of the street and driveways, we need to make some changes.

The changes we're proposing

  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) on the northern side outside #29 and #31 Brixton Road and outside 2/48 Rawhiti Road on the Brixton Road side of the property.
  • Installing no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) around the intersection of Brixton Road and Rawhiti Road.

What happens next

  • Following community engagement, we will be apply for a legal resolution to support these parking changes.
  • Following approval, we expect to implement the changes in September 2026.
