About the project

We’re responding to a request from the community to formalise the parking spaces on Te Kea Place in Rosedale. We plan to mark car parks for drivers to improve the efficiency of this high demand parking area.

The changes we're proposing

  • Extending the no stopping at all times (broken yellow lines) around both corners from William Pickering Drive to the start of the parking spaces on Te Kea Place.
  • Install edge line road markings (4m either side of the centreline of the road) between the live traffic line and the parking area to show where the individual parking spaces are located.
  • Painting the parking spaces to maximize the space and define where vehicles can be parked.

What happens next

  • Following community engagement, we seek approval for legal resolution for the parking changes.
  • Following approval, we expect to implement the changes in September 2026.

How to contact us

If you’d like to discuss our plans, share what you know about your area or let us know if there’s anything we’ve missed, email us at ATEngagement@at.govt.nz by 10 July 2026.
