After reviewing the feedback we received, we are not proceeding with the proposed P10 Loading Zone on Esplanade Road (outside 145 Mt Eden Road), Mt Eden.

Feedback received:
64% opposed the proposal (18 responses)
21% supported the proposal (6 responses)
14% had mixed views about the proposal (4 responses)
Overall outcome: Community feedback showed clear concern about the impact of the proposed P10 loading zone on already limited residential and visitor parking. While some respondents acknowledged potential benefits for deliveries, quick access, traffic flow and local businesses, the majority did not support the proposal. Based on this feedback, AT will not be proceeding with the proposed changes.

We’ve received a request to provide a short-term parking option on Esplanade Road. AT has taken this request into consideration and are proposing to convert two of the P120 parking spaces into a P10 loading zone, outside 145 Mt Eden Road on Esplanade Road.
What’s currently in place
P120 parking restriction between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
What we’re proposing
Convert two P120 parking spaces to P10 Loading Zone between 8am-6pm, Monday to Sunday.

Makes it easier for you to find short term parking for local businesses
Ensures fairness with the high demand in this area
Supports rubbish collection by giving trucks a place to stop briefly while servicing the area
Makes it easier for NZ Post to stop nearby to collect mail from the local post box
Helps courier drivers stop safely for a short time while picking up parcels from local businesses
