We’re getting in touch to let you know about the planned new signalised crossings at the Ellerslie-Panmure Highway/Harrison Road intersection, Mt Wellington.

Why are the changes needed?

This project was initiated in response to feedback from Summerset Retirement Village and nearby businesses. Concerns were raised about pedestrian safety, particularly the lack of a formal pedestrian crossing, as well as the difficulty and safety risks with right turn movements from Harrison Road.

In response, we propose to construct two new signalised pedestrian crossings and one new unsignalised crossing, along with associated road layout changes, to improve safety and connectivity in the area.
