About the project

We are conducting several phases of a research project, trialling messaging on driver feedback signs from August 2024 to March 2026 across various sites in the Auckland region, to determine how effective driver feedback signs are as a form of speed management.

Auckland Transport recently trialled a driver feedback sign on Universal Drive and Weymouth Road to address speeding in high-risk areas. We’re now going back to the community to gauge their effectiveness with the survey below.

  1. Universal Drive Access Survey Here
  2. Weymouth Road Access Survey Here

An example of what the sign looked like:

Why are we making these changes?

Aucklanders have told us that they want to move around their region safely. They have also told us that they want solutions that are fit for purpose for each location. As a result, we are exploring different ways we can address safety issue effectively.

Share your experience and let us know if these signs helped improve road safety in your area. Your insights are invaluable to us as we evaluate the effectiveness of this initiative and plan future safety measures. Please take a moment to share your experience by filling out our online survey above. Your feedback will help us make informed decisions to enhance road safety in our community.

For more information regarding the Driver Feedback Sign Trial, you can find it on our AT Website.
