In response to concerns raised by the business community regarding parking availability on Davis Crescent in Newmarket, we have taken specific actions to address this issue.

Starting from September 2025, we are pleased to inform you that we will be enhancing the mobility parking spaces, providing a more convenient and accessible parking experience for all.

We are expanding the length of the mobility parking area, which will result in three compliant mobility spaces that can accommodate hoist vehicles. They will also be wider to give users more room getting in and out of their car.

And good news, we've been able to find space for additional parking spaces without compromising on safety.

Proposed changes:

  • Three compliant mobility parking spaces.
  • Three additional paid parking spaces.

Benefits to your neighbourhood:

  • Makes it easier for mobility card holders to find parking while visiting the area.
  • More general parking availability.

How to contact us:

If you’d like to speak to someone about our plans, please get in touch by emailing us at ATEngagement@at.govt.nz by Sunday 3 August, 2025.
