About the project

As neighbourhoods grow, it can make already narrow roads difficult to navigate. We’ve received feedback from the community to improve the parking arrangement along Pembroke Crescent, Granada Place, and Sierra Street in Glendowie, so that it’s easier for vehicles to travel through the area.

What we are proposing

We are proposing broken yellow lines on alternating sides of the road to improve access at the following locations:

  • Pembroke Crescent
  • Granada Place
  • Sierra Street (between number 2 and 46)

Benefits and impacts

  • The proposed broken yellow lines aim to improve road access and safety by encouraging slower traffic speeds while balancing demands for on-street parking.
  • Pembroke Crescent and Granada Place are both narrow roads. The proposal formalises a parking arrangement that prevents two cars from parking opposite each other and blocking the road for passing vehicles.
  • While Sierra Street is slightly wider, we’ve received requests from the community for broken yellow lines here because cars parking opposite each other makes the road narrower, especially for larger vehicles. We anticipate the loss of approximately 37 parking spaces along Sierra Street.

What we want your feedback on

  • Your feedback on the proposed changes to address access issues along Sierra Street, Pembroke Crescent, and Granada Place.
  • Please also let us know if you believe the proposal has missed anything.
