Improving bus services in South Auckland
In April 2026 we're making changes to bus services in Manurewa, Clendon Park, Wiri, Puhinui, Ōtara, Highbrook & Ormiston to provide people with better bus connections to jobs, education, train stations and shopping centres.
With more buses in more locations more people will be able to get to more places more often.
These new bus services need new bus stops. This webpage will give you more information about these new bus stops and give you the chance to give your feedback on them. Use the survey at the bottom of the page to giveContinue reading

Feedback is open until 4pm, 9 November 2025 for bus stops on Roscommon Rd, Maurice Paykel Place, Noel Burnside Rd, Puhinui Rd and Weymouth Rd.
These changes are funded by Auckland Council’s Climate Action Transport Targeted Rate (CATTR).
More details of the changes can be found on the AT website here: https://at.govt.nz/projects-initiatives/south-auckland-projects-and-initiatives/bus-changes-in-south-auckland
Why we’re making these changes
Whether people choose to drive, walk, cycle, bus, train or ferry their way around the region, Auckland Transport supports viable options that make journeys quicker, easier and safer.
This will enable what matters most to Aucklanders: a convenient, well-connected, accessible and reliable transport system.
Transport choices will meet the varying needs of Aucklanders so they can live their lives and enjoy our region now and into the future as we continue to grow.
Achieving the vision will require great public transport, an efficient and sustainable transport network and safe and seamless journeys for everyone.
The changes we’re proposing
A new bus route 37 will travel between Manurewa and Highbrook through Clendon Park, Wiri, (via Roscommon Rd), Puhinui Rd, Preston Rd, Springs Rd and East Tamaki Road.
Route 37 will run every 15 minutes from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week. It will run before and after these times but less frequently.
Have your say on the bus stops we’re proposing
We're planning new bus stops on the following streets. View the plans below and if you have any feedback, please complete the survey at the bottom of the page.

Bus stops are planned for the following roads:
- Weymouth Road, Manurewa
- Roscommon Rd, Wiri and Clendon Park
- Noel Burnside Road, Wiri
- Puhinui Road, Manukau
