Upcoming Changes to Pedestrian Crossing at Botany Road!
We’re planning to upgrade the pedestrian crossing at the Golfland Drive and Botany Road intersection.

This project was initiated in response to feedback from residents and businesses about safety concerns related to informal and unsafe pedestrian crossings in the area.

The project proposes installing the missing pedestrian crosswalk on the southern side of the Botany Road/Golfland Drive/Tarnica Road signalised intersection to improve accessibility and safety.

What we’re planning to do before June 2026

  • Install a signalised crosswalk on the southern side of the intersection to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
  • Rebuild the pedestrian refuge island to provide a safer and more comfortable waiting area.
  • Move the traffic signal pole to improve visibility and traffic management.
  • Add a pedestrian push button to the existing signal pole to allow safe activation of the crossing.

How this will benefit your neighbourhood

These upgrades will make the Botany Road/Golfland Drive/Tarnica Road intersection safer and more convenient for everyone—whether you’re walking or driving through the area.

  • Provides a designated, signalised crossing so people no longer need to make informal or unsafe road crossings.
  • Completes the missing pedestrian crossing at the intersection, offering a more convenient route for walkers.
  • Creates better links between local streets, and shops, supporting a more walkable and connected intersection.

We want your feedback
