About the project
In response to a request from a business on Birmingham Road, we are proposing to paint broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) along both sides of the Birmingham Road and Turin Place intersection.
Parked vehicles at the intersection reduce the available space for trucks to turn and align themselves with the driveway, leading to difficulties in entering the premises.
What we are proposing
We are proposing to paint broken yellow lines along the Birmingham Road and Turin Place intersection.
The changes in the proposal include:
Painting broken yellow lines along the top, western side of Turin Place.
Painting broken yellow lines along the eastern side of Turin Place and Birmingham Road intersection.
BIRMINGHAM ROAD AND TURIN PLACE, ŌTARA
Benefits and impacts
This project aims to improve visibility and accessibility
We want to work with you to deliver safer roads in your neighbourhood. These changes would:
Make it safer and easier for heavy vehicles entering and exiting businesses.
These improvements would remove 6 on-street parking spaces to improve visibility and accessibility. We acknowledge this can be inconvenient, so we have minimised the removal of parking as much as possible.
How you can have your say
Have your say by completing the online feedback form. The form will be open from Monday 5 May 2025 to 19 May 2025.
