About the project

Proposing parking layout changes on Burnley Terrace, Mount Eden

We have received requests to review the operation of angle parking spaces outside #2 Burnley Terrace. The concerns highlighted anti-social behaviour such as smashing of car windows, broken glass outside houses, and car headlights shining onto residential properties, particularly into their bedroom windows during the evening because of the parking angle.

To address these concerns, we plan to reconfigure the three-angle parking bays between 2 and 2A Burnley Terrace.

What we are proposing

Changes we are making

Removing the kerb buildout between the two parking bays to allow an additional two angle spaces and changing three angle spaces to one parallel parking space.

  • The total number of parking spaces will not change and will remain a total of eight spaces.
  • Angle parking in the other parking bay will remain
  • The existing parking restrictions will also not change. The existing P30 will remain for first parking bay and the two new angle spaces, existing angle space and the parallel parking will have P60.
